The Gap Band Songs

The Gap Band is a band that was formed in the early nineteen seventies in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was fronted by three brothers, Robert, Charles, and Ronnie. They based their sounds off of the band Earth, Wind, and Fire, as well as imitations of other popular singers and bands.

As the band's popularity grew, so did the number of members. In the next decade the band grew to include James Macon, Tommy Lokey, Chris Clayton, John Black, Greg Philliganes, Glen Nightingale, Oliver Scott, and Raymond Moon Calhoun.

The Gap Band produced many albums and few big hits including Burn Rubber on Me, Backbone, Nothing from Nothing, You Dropped a Bomb on Me, Africa Talks to You, and I Yike it.

Deal's Gap, located in Swain County, North Carolina, is a motercycle resort. It is a famous destination compelling bikers and racers of motorcycles and race cars. It is a great destination for some and is also known as The Dragon.

Music Generation Gap

As many of my girlfriends and I have discussed, the best way to measure the generation gap between two people is to look at the music they like and the slang they use.

One of my best friends from high school Alisha who is twenty three is dating a guy who is thirty four. The age gap is significant, but not severe. And they have the hardest time finding music to agree on.

There may be some music that they can agree on, but not much. And there will definitely be some music that one or the other will not tolerate.

New Gap Clothes

Although The Gap and Banana Republic are owned by the same company, it seems as though they somewhat in competition with each other. They offer similar types of clothes and fit into one category for personal taste.

The Gap offers somewhat more casual clothes, and the Banana Republic offers a bit classier and dressier clothes. It seems as though Banana Republic is more popular among women and the Gap is more popular among men. Most likely due to the fact that in general, more women are willing to spend more money on nicer clothes than men are.

Men are in general more likely to buy gap clothes because they are less expensive and more relaxed and comfortable fitting.

First Gap Stores California

The very first Gap store was based out of San Francisco, California, and the second store was then opened in San Jose, California. That was all started back in 1960's, and has been growing greatly ever since.

Currently, the Gap stores have about one-hundred and fifty thousand employee's, and over three thousand one hundred and thirty nine stores worldwide. The Gap is one of the most popular clothes stores worldwide, due to it quality and affordability.

All Gap clothes carry the unique and popular southern California feel while being classic pieces that work throughout several seasons. I predict that Gap will be a success for a long time.
