The Gap Band Songs

The Gap Band is a band that was formed in the early nineteen seventies in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was fronted by three brothers, Robert, Charles, and Ronnie. They based their sounds off of the band Earth, Wind, and Fire, as well as imitations of other popular singers and bands.
As the band's popularity grew, so did the number of members. In the next decade the band grew to include James Macon, Tommy Lokey, Chris Clayton, John Black, Greg Philliganes, Glen Nightingale, Oliver Scott, and Raymond Moon Calhoun.
The Gap Band produced many albums and few big hits including Burn Rubber on Me, Backbone, Nothing from Nothing, You Dropped a Bomb on Me, Africa Talks to You, and I Yike it.
