Is Old Navy Hiring Right Now?

The Old Navy hiring system looks really bleak since it appears the Gap Inc has been in a hiring freeze for some time. Grant it there are a lot of companies unable to hire workers. In fact, a lot of employers are laying workers off; not hiring more. As far as I can tell there are no retail positions available throughout the entire company. I wouldn't be surprised if it was near to impossible to get a job in retail presently. Old Navy does have a few corporate positions open though. If you are willing to relocate there are a couple of corporate positions open; 38 to be exact.

Is Old Navy Hiring?

If you've ever applied for a job at Old Navy then you know the pain-staking hours one spends to just get a chance to work at the retail store. Now any professional will tell you that finding the right job candidate is almost solely dependent on how well each person is interviewed. So it's no wonder why more and more retail stores require an online application that usually takes anywhere from 1 to 3 hours long. This is ultimately a good thing for the company because some of the personal questions that store managers do not like to ask are completed up-front and done in the same manner for everyone. With the application process being so efficient I wonder, is Old Navy hiring or are they like a fisherman that just leaves his pole in the water all the time? I think the process is so efficient it drastically reduces a store's hiring options and because of this they never have enough people to help. At my local store I've seen the 'Now Hiring' sign in the window for over 5 months.
