The New Old Navy New Logo

Even though there is such a subtle difference between the older Old Navy logo and the Old Navy new logo, the difference seems to make a difference. I think their new logo looks more like the Gap's log. They still have the same white letters but the font is different. The letters are shorter and fatter making them more noticeable. The blue background is a darker navy blue as opposed to the faded teal that used to be on the logo. I think the new logo has more of a chic, grown up look. The darker blue almost allows the consumers to take the Old Navy brand more seriously because adults can shop there as well and not just kids. Their new logo is definitely a change made on purpose by the corporation to signify their upgrade of style. Their new logo tells us Old Navy is not just khaki pants and summer dresses. They have skinny jeans and low cut tops with the different color flip flops that we all love.
